Halloween was a success.

Last Halloween, Juney and her friends were pretty clueless about trick-or-treating (since they were only one, duh). This year was way different, and way more fun! Luckily, we had lots of animated company to celebrate and eat chocolate with until way past bedtime. We have been truly blessed with some fantastic friends with very, very cute kiddos.

Juney was Dorothy (she is STILL obsessed with the Wizard of Oz), and Huck was a monkey. He may have been the cutest monkey I have ever seen.

We had a wonderful time eating lots of yummy food, playing in the front yard and making our way around a wee bit of the neighborhood. Wildhorse stayed behind to pass out candy while I went out with my little Kansas princess. She kept telling me she was running like Dorothy as she pranced and skipped. A few households even got to hear her rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” Priceless.

The greatest thing about having children is embracing their ability to absolutely melt your heart into mush.

Hope your Halloween was filled with lots of smiles and treats!
